LEVEL 1 - BOXING WORKSHOP


What’s involved in Level 1?


Level 1 profit boxing workshop is an interactive, informative and physical training seminar designed to teach fitness professionals the basic foundation skills into boxing. The course arms trainers with a variety of skills including executing basic boxing techniques, effective pad holding and how to structure boxing classes that add variety, co-ordination and greater self confidence to participants.


Course Outline

  • Correct Boxing Stance and Movement
    A detailed look at the two foundation techniques in boxing that set the basis for effective and explosive punching combinations.

  • Basic Boxing Combinations
    Learn how to explain and demonstrate basic boxing combinations including jab, power, slips, ducks and rock aways.

  • Pad Holding
    The major topic of the course. Participants learn in-depth the correct way to hold pads and the potential dangers associated with incorrect pad holding technique.

  • Running a Boxing Class
    Learn the fundamental elements of how to successfully run a boxing class or group personal training session.

  • Strapping
    A client learning how to box should always be strapped by their trainer. Learn why and discover how to strap your client safely, securely and quickly.

  • Boxing Terminology
    Make your boxing session more authentic by learning boxing terminology used by all professional boxing coaches today.

 

LEVEL 2 - BOXING WORKSHOP


What’s involved in level 2?


ProFit level 2 is a powerful seminar designed for trainers who wish to develop their client’s skill and fitness levels by incorporating advanced boxing into their sessions.
The course will involve advanced punch and movement drills, how to use different types of equipment and how to make boxing specialized with drills and classes designed for specific goals.

 

Who can do level 2?
Due to the high skill level of the course it is a requirement that level 1 profit or an equivalent course be completed prior to the workshop.


Course Outline

  • Progressive Techniques

  • Learn not only how to throw but also how to explain the hook, uppercut and body rip.


  • Movement Skills
    Learn how to move and feel like a boxer with our bop, weave and slip drills.


  • Maximising the Use of Various Types of Equipment
    Take your training sessions to another level by learning how to use the floor to ceiling, heavy bag and the shadow boxer.


  • Level 2 Combinations
    Effective and explosive combinations incorporating all progressive punch and movement skills.


  • Structuring Sessions and Classes for Specific Goals
    Whether you are training athletes or the general population know how to get specific in boxing with incredible sessions designed for weight loss, anaerobic conditioning, explosiveness, agility and power training.


Do I get CEC or PDP Points?


Upon completion each course is worth 5 CEC points and 2 PDP points. All participants receive a comprehensive training manual, and a set of straps.

MASTER PAD HOLDER SUPER WORKSHOP

 

Course Outline

  • Coding
    Making your pad holding more effective by learning how to explain your combinations with one word or number, allowing for continuous, flowing pad work.

  • Signals
    No set up work, no speaking, just flat out punching using signals that will burn massive calories.

  • Defense Pad Holding
    Teach your Client how to defend against attacks.

  • Counter Punching
    Train your clients how to react and attack from different stimulus thrown at them.


  • Master Trainer Conditioning Drills
    Learn how to condition yourself the way a pro fighter does with boxing conditioning drills that take you from advanced to master.

  • Advanced Med Ball Work
    Discover the art of med ball work and the huge variety that comes along with it

 

BOXING CLASS INSTRUCTOR COURSES

 

Course Outline

  • Structuring a class for maximum impact
    Learn how to prepare a boxing class to ensure all participants receive maximum cardio workout and how to modify stations and drills for all fitness levels. We will outline the most unique and dynamic structures which will have your participants coming back week after week.


  • 21 Drills and combinations from beginner to
    advanced participants

    Learn 21 dynamic drills and combinations that can be incorporated into any boxing class or group personal training session both indoor and outdoor. You will take home a tool box of ideas straight from a boxing trainers “handbook” used to condition professional and amateur boxers.


  • Effective communication for smooth transition
    between drills

    Your ability to communicate is the difference between an average class and an awesome class. Learn how to project your voice, use motivating and recognition techniques and how to understand individual personality styles so all participants get the most out of your class.

  • Incorporating Equipment
    What equipment works best!- Simple is often the best. We will show you which equipment works best for the style of your class and space available. You will learn how to utilize equipment you never thought would be applicable to boxing classes. Make your class a stand out!


  • Correct technique for injury prevention
    Learn the correct technique for every combination and station you incorporate into your classes and learn how to effectively communicate correct technique in easy to understand terminology for all participants.
